#Business Updates · 2020-11-05

On November 2nd, the Education Department of Fujian Province announced the second batch of pilot projects for industrial colleges in higher vocational colleges. Xuzhou Xinke Robot Co., Ltd. and its partner Xiamen Nanyang Vocational College jointly applied for the "Special Robot Industry College" and were successfully selected!

Special robots are robots that perform operations in environments where humans cannot enter, reach, or act.
In recent years, safety accidents in various parts of China have shown a high incidence trend, with significant characteristics such as difficult prevention and control, high risk coefficient, high casualties, few intelligent equipment, low rescue efficiency, heavy property losses, and poor social impact. However, the vast majority of eligible labor force is unwilling to engage in high-risk, tedious, and heavy work, so there is an urgent need to promote the use of special robots in high-risk environments (such as firefighting, petrochemicals, metallurgy, coal mining, electricity, military civilian integration, etc.) to maximize the protection of people's lives and property safety.
The establishment of a "Special Robot Industry College" in universities will effectively solve the contradiction between the rapid development of emerging industries and the extreme shortage of technical and skilled talents, fill the talent gap, improve the quality of vocational education and students' employment ability, strengthen the cultivation of high-quality technical and skilled talents, promote the widespread application of special robots in high-risk industries such as special operations, safety disaster rescue, and national defense and military, and promote the high-quality development of the whole society.
